Tru by Hilton Lake Charles

The only reason I have a 4 is because the room feels so tiny & no real closet or a coffee pot. Nothing serious, I might be a little spoiled lol. The positives are really all that matter. The room is clean, Lakyen who checked me in is exceptionally nice. The one housekeeping lady I've spoken to (I just got in this afternoon) was very nice & helpful also. The lobby area is really cool looking, a great vibe to it. I have beautiful scenery with Bayou Contraband flowing right out my window. I can get my coffee in the morning when I go eat breakfast, I'm ok I'm this situation with no real closet & I'll only be here a couple of nights, so tiny room will be just fine. Would I stay here again? Yes, but would probably request a double & hope the room is a little bigger lol

Desk clerk. very friendly, professional and interacted well with customers. Room was clean, well stick with hotel products. Decorations were great, modern , bed comfortable. Shower large and handicapp friendly. Food line was well supplied, with multiple choices. Food service person could use some in-service on customer service. Overall the hotel was great and affordable for anyone on a budget.

Enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Tru. Friendly helpful staff. Suggested eating at Shucks an oyster restaurant 2 minutes away on the water. Room was clean and beds comfortable. Would stay here again, book through Trivago - considering less expensive.

Clean room and public areas. Big issues I normally have at rooms I visit are mold and others people's shedded hair all over(towels, beds, toilet, shower, etc). I only found one piece of hair while I was there. Thank you for the cleanliness throughout the entire facility. I know this place has been up for a few years but still extremely clean, up to date, modernized rooms and common areas. As this place continues to age, please keep up with the cleanliness. Don't slap a piece of paint here or cover up something with a painting there, continue to keep up the cleanliness and renovate with the times and I'm sure that this place will have a long and great reputation. Breakfast option wasn't a full spread but was more than accommodating options for a plentiful breakfast. Room and bathroom is small but that is miniscule complaint. Biggest and worst complaint is honestly the price. $450 for a Friday and Saturday night. Nothing was going on that weekend. It's lake charles for goodness sake. But I get it, lake charles is beginning to attempt to become a popular metropolitan area with the casinos and trying to bring in some big concert/comedy acts, but 225 dollars a night in lake charles is still out of control. Very good hotel, highly recommend.

We have a very good experience at this hotel. Love you can check in online and go straight to you room, specially after a long day driving. Beds are extremely comfortable. There are games. You also able to buy some snacks. Breakfast is good, omelets, polka sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, cereal, etc. The hotel is clean and location is great. Thanks for an awesome stay!

One of the better hotels I've stayed at in a long time. Family friendly but also great for couples, came to the casinos and this place was responsible priced compared to all other hotels near by. The rooms were clean and smell cleaned which is wonderful, the best part was the towels, most hotel towels don't smell or feel clean but Tru hotels did. I would highly recommend staying here. I will 100% be when we come back.

We paid extra for the room with the view of the bayou and weren’t quite thrilled with what we got. There are snakes and crocs in the bayou and there are signs there. Their kitchen is much smaller than the tru in Destin for example. Our room was next to one with a dog who was alone all night and wouldn’t stop barking. It was very hard to sleep with that all night. The staff was great. They were on their toes cleaning the coffee station every 15 minutes

The room is simple, everything you need for one night. My husband and I only stayed one night, and our room was clean, and small but a lot cheaper than regular Hilton hotels. I would recommend if you're just needing to spend the night by yourself or with a spouse. I wouldn't recommend for families as the room is very small and not made for that. It's really only for overnights not longer term stays. I forgot the breakfast is simple but good. They had some scrambled eggs, and sausage and a new and cool pancake machine that is delicious and my new favorite thing at Hilton's hotels! It automatically makes them for you when you push a button and it sends out 2 at a time. Very good if you want a quick breakfast !!!!! Overall if in the area I would go back!!!!!
